Trigger Point Dry Needling Qualified

Dr Kurt Avouris (Osteopath) is the Primary Osteopath at Toowoon Bay Osteopathy and Dry Needling which he established in 2018. Kurt graduated from the University of Western Sydney with a Bachelors of Applied Science (Osteopathy) and his Masters of Osteopathy in 2005 and since has been a full time practicing Osteopath in Camperdown in Sydney’s Inner West before moving to the Central Coast.

Kurt is currently teaching other health professionals Trigger Point Dry Needling. Kurt has taught hundreds of practitioners the skill of dry needling, as well as lecturing at conferences on the physiological and musculoskeletal effects of dry needling.

Dr Brad Corbett

Over the Past 20 years Brad has worked on the Northern Beaches, Newcastle and the Central Coast. His Approach to Health involves a combination of Osteopathy and individualised holistic exercise and lifestyle programs focused on educating people on how their body functions and helping them to develop a pathway to true health.

Brad Discovered Osteopathy when getting treatment for his own sporting injuries. This led him to study Osteopathy at the Victoria University in Melbourne graduating with a Bachelor of Science (Osteopathy) and a Master of Health Science (Osteopathy). 

Brad also holds an Applied Science degree in Sports Coaching and Administration and has completed Integrated Movement Science – level 2 and Holistic Lifestyle Coach – level 2 with the CHEK Institute in the USA.

Dr Louise Itkin

Osteopath

Louise is an osteopath who enjoys treating holistically, using a combination of structural, cranial and visceral techniques. 

She is passionate about the mind and body connection, and believes in the body’s ability to heal itself. She sees her role as the helping hand to getting you back to your optimal health. 

She has a keen interest in pre/postnatal and paediatrics, headaches and postural issues.

Louise obtained her qualifications in England, and is registered with AHPRA and the General Osteopathic Council (UK).

Dr Scott Kennedy

Osteopath

Scott developed an interest in Osteopathy after initially training in remedial massage, where he discovered the value of hands-on treatment in helping people manage pain and improve their overall wellbeing. He went on to complete a Bachelor of Clinical Science and Master of Osteopathy at Southern Cross University in Lismore, graduating in 2016.

In 2017, Scott relocated to the Central Coast and has been practising in the region ever since. Originally from Victoria, he has always enjoyed an active lifestyle and maintains a strong interest in a wide range of sports, bushwalking, and travel.

Scott draws on his background in remedial massage and combines it with a variety of osteopathic techniques to tailor treatment to each patient’s needs. He also incorporates biodynamic osteopathy, which he has found particularly beneficial in supporting patients experiencing migraines and persistent headaches.

Continuing education is an important part of Scott’s practice. He has recently completed training in the Perrin Technique, a specialised osteopathic approach used in the management of patients with Chronic Fatigue Syndrome/Myalgic Encephalomyelitis (CFS/ME).

Rhys Jones

Remedial Massage Therapist

Rhys is a massage therapist based on the Central Coast. Rhys believes that the ability to move freely is crucial, and when hindered by discomfort - pain, stiffness, soreness or tightness - Remedial Massage offers effective intervention. Rhys’ treatments include massage therapy, dry needling and cupping as well as stretching to promote movement within the body, offering a holistic approach to wellness.

Georgia Stewart

Exercise Physiologist

Georgia is an Accredited Exercise Physiologist who graduated with a Bachelor of Exercise and Sport Science in 2019 and a Master of Clinical Exercise Physiology in 2021. She has a special interest in clinical Pilates, post surgical rehabilitation and supporting people with chronic health conditions to exercise safely and confidently. Her approach combines evidence-based exercise prescription with the principles of Pilates to help clients improve strength, mobility, and confidence in their bodies. Georgia is passionate about using movement as medicine and creating individualised programs that empower people to take an active role in their health. Alongside her clinical work, Georgia is also a casual academic at the University of Newcastle, where she contributes to the teaching and development of future exercise physiology students.
